Dr. Joanne Jiang has over 20 years of executive experience in the global pharmaceutical industry including senior leadership positions with Sanofi, Bayer and Daiichi Sankyo, where she led the company’s global new drug development teams. Of note, Dr. Jiang was engaged in the clinical development and regulatory approval of Actonel and Lantus with the US FDA, EMEA, CFDA and PMDA. As the co-founder of Fountain Medical Development, she built one of the largest, full service clinical CROs serving China and East Asia with 2000+ FTEs. At Fountain she worked with over 60 international and domestic pharmaceutical clients and obtained regulatory approval for over 20 products. Fountain Medical was acquired by Goldman Sachs in 2019. Dr. Jiang is recognized for her skills in managing high performing project teams that deliver break-through results. She is presently serving as a director to several US and China biotechnology companies, is a distinguished scholar of the Real-World Evidence Data Institute and has published 13 international papers. Dr. Jiang is a senior scholar of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, the leading academic association that is collaborating with NMPA (Chinese FDA) and responsible for scientific evaluation of new drug research in China. Dr. Jiang holds a Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology from Indiana University Medical School, and an MBA from University of Michigan Dearborn.
